A Girl on the Shore. Definitely Inio Asano's least accessible work given its controversial subject matter and it's certainly not my favorite from him but I truly do admire the honesty and brutal reality he conveys in his work. Asano pulls no punches and for that I admire him.
I can't go into details as I'm not one to spoil, but it's seriously hard to recommend this to anyone not already familiar with Asano's style of storytelling. It's definitely not something that should be an introduction to his work, for that I'll probably always point to Solanin.
But overall, I really found this to be a great manga, not a work I was necessarily always comfortable with while reading given some of the images it depicts (iykyk), but I actually commend it for that. Not the easiest read but it's still something you can get through quickly.
Gave it an 8/10 on MAL, it's worth the read but definitely ONLY if you're already at least slightly familiar with Asano's work. This thread is a little too long, probably should've wrote this somewhere else. Anyway, onto the next manga, which I haven't decided on yet...
