Anarchists: "It's possible to create bottom-up solutions to collective action problems without the state, indeed *better* than the state, through pro-social cooperation and aggressive boycott dynamics."

Libertarians: "Asking me not to cough on everyone is tyranny!!!"
I'm a hardline individualist, but by that I've always meant a centering of individual agency and rejection of collective decisionmaking or fetishizing abstractions like organizations & groups. It has never meant rejecting altruism or running roughshod over others.
Six months in and I'm still freshly astounded every time by "fuck em, I've got the right to spread around the plague" takes by libertarians. This shit is bananas. The exact opposite of individual responsibility.
