Listen--

Imagine me doing my first marathon Saturday (Oct. 24).

At sge 60, 3 days fasted and nothing but water.

Empowering, a milestone, awesome, beautiful fall day, colors in full glory.

Thread ----
Before we journey too far I should mention I "walked" the entire time and took plenty of breaks. Some might argue that walking isn& #39;t really a marathon but I assure you that 26 miles and 60,000 steps is indeed a marathon for me. The addition of not eating 3 days prior or during
makes me eligible for the badass "Wizard" club IMHO.

So here are the "data" numbers --

I started at 4 a.m. in the pitch dark morning on a breezy 39 degree Missouri morning. The total walking time was 8.3 hours and the total time with breaks was 12 hours.
I did 4 shoe changes, changed in and out of various sweat shirts, gloves and hats as the weather changed. I varied the walk from my neighborhood to the soccer fields to the lakeside drive. I shopped at a neighbor& #39;s garage sale, and visited with 6 neighbors/friends during the
adventure. I switched out our two dogs at various times and they each happily logged about 4-5 miles. I attended 2 of my son& #39;s soccer games and continued circling the field. I drank nothing but warm, hot or cool water. At one point, about 6 hours in, I didn& #39;t think I would
make it. My legs were sore but my back was killing me. I had to take a break laying down in the car. Got up and pushed through.

My only training for this was my daily walks, typically broken up into 40 minute a.m., lunch and evening walks over the last few months. I& #39;m
down about 50 #s since June 1 and am ketoish/carnivorish.

I would not suggest a fasting marathon to anyone not totally fat adapted. The not eating part was actually easy for me. I didn& #39;t need to carb load for energy.

Lessons learned --
I am not the same person today as I was just 36 hours ago. My mindset is off the scale and really anything is possible now. Spiritually I& #39;ve leveled up. The walk was a journey of peace, bliss and enlightenment. I used no music and atuned to nature.
Biologically, at a DNA level, I& #39;ve changed. Ketone powers maxed and ketones fuel the brain and change your brain cells. My adaptive fueling of my cells is stronger. Stressing your body can make it stronger and more efficient.

I was exhuasted by the end and chose to refuel with
Meat, Eggs, Dairy and Seafood - MEDS - beef, cheese, shrimp. I& #39;m still a bit sore today and did a little active recovery, walking the dogs about 1.5 miles and doing house chores and some shopping -- typical low key Sunday.

The Real Challange --
If you& #39;ve read this far, I& #39;ve captured you imagination --

Now imagine yourself doing something similar. It could be an all day walking marathon through your city or town. It could even be a bar hopping marathon, which I would have enjoyed when I still drank. It doesn& #39;t even
need to be a marathon or athletic but something challanging. Be creative -- remember that "YOU" are the creator of your reality --- and make if fun kids!

Special thanks to my coach @willnewton (The Excercise Coach) for his encouragement and ideas and to @DaddyOh (Eric) for his
daily tweets on his walking achievements. Both are an inspiration to me.

If you made it to the end please consider retweeting the first tweet on this thread. That is the ultimate honor on twitter.

I love you all!
