So yesterday I had a kaafi serious discussion how eating clean is a costly & privilege affair.
So I have decided to showcase my entire usual daily meal today on TL which I consider is clean to showcase how is it all about choice and it has nothing to do with costly & "privilege".
This is for people earning more then 15K per month.
Meal 1:

I start my day with a cup of black coffee with a dash of lemon in it.

An instant coffee pouch costs 1 Rs.
A lemon costs around 4₹ in hyderabad. I use half of a lemon in one go. So total spend 3 ₹.
Kcal consumed - 0
Money used - 3₹
Meal 2 : Aka Breakfast
Bhai chai jaruri hai mereko so don't judge 🙏
Also, I drink unsweetened tea.
Total money spent till now ₹22.05
Meal 3 lunch I take carbs this time.
Made soya khichdi perfect combination of Protein and carbs.. Too much for being "privileged" 😎.. With a serving of palak on side.
This clean eating is coming out so costly I am telling you have spend 66₹ on 3 meals 😱😱
Meal 4: Aka Evening Snacks
Papaya and a cup of black coffee
I eat fruit to consume sugar so that my sugar level in blood remains in check.

Total money spend ₹73.55 (too much costly right?)
Meal 5 : The last supper of the day.

Made soya chunk salad for completing my protein requirements for the day.
Completed entire day ka ration by spending 101.85₹. Too costly to afford eh?
Again I don't give a damn what your POV of clean eating is but remember clean eating can be done for as cheap as 100₹ per day you don't need any fancy shit like chia, quinoa, kale, whale ka daant etc. to clean eat. You can eat clean and nutritious from your daily ration.
Dikkat ye nahi hai ki ye tough hai.. Dikkat ye hai ki log apni failure ko justify karne ke lie use privilege ka tag dedete hai.. It's very important to self introspect and accept your failure for personal growth.
Also, jo 3BHK posh makano mai baith ke daily 56 pakwan uda te hein wo affordability or privilege ka gyaan na hi baatein to sahi rahega.. Understand what your body wants and work on it. Eating clean is neither expensive nor a privilege .. It's a choice.
Also, this entire thread has nothing to do with ppl who suffer with eating disorder due to thr mental health well being. I understand your pain. Trust me things get better. Just keep pushing yourself . ♥
Lastly, privilege is a heavy word. Amd should be used very carefully.. Har kahi nahi dalna chaiye.. Privilege jaise shabd kaafi soch samajh ke use karne chaiye.
