How to sort out #Arsenal (a thread). Likes and retweets appreciated #ARSLEI #COYG 1/8
BACK ARTETA: After tonight& #39;s result, it is clear that the team is in need of reform. However, Arteta is one of the few parts of the club that are safe. None of this #Artetaout nonsense. All he needs is to be backed in January with an attacking mid, a striker and a right back. 2/8
CAM: Christopher Nkunku
Nkunku already has an assist this season for Leipzig and is valued at €33 million [Transfermarkt]. This would provide a long-term solution to our creativity problems as he is only 22 and would be a lot cheaper than Aouar. #COYG 3/8
RB: Tariq Lamptey
Lamptey has excelled for Brighton this season, bagging 3 assists in 5 games. He is valued at €16.2 million [Transfermarkt] and would be a perfect partner to Tierney at full-back. A right-back is especially needed as it isn& #39;t Maitland-Niles& #39; best position. 4/8
ST: Wissam Ben Yedder
Ben Yedder is in his prime currently. He is a clinical striker capable of scoring week-in week-out against any opponent. Top class. Valued at €40 million [Transfermarkt]. #COYG 5/8
OUTGOINGS:
Laczette and Bellerin. Their values are a combined total of €70.8 million [Transfermarkt]. This would leave Arsenal with a net spend of €18.4 million. How would you rate a window with Nkunku, Lamptey and Ben Yedder incoming and Lacazette and Bellerin leaving /10? 6/8
Regarding Nicolas Pepe, I think he is safe in the team for now. He was underwhelming against Leicester, but he is capable of playing well in the right setup, especially with Lamptey for support. #COYG 7/8
This would be Arsenal& #39;s best XI after the rebuild. End of thread, thanks for reading. Likes + retweets appreciated #COYG https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="👍" title="Thumbs up" aria-label="Emoji: Thumbs up">8/8
