Debunking the lie that Chairman Mao was a "bloodthirsty mass murderer". A thread:
Let's begin with the Great Leap Forward, which was a campaign. Not a famine.
The lie here is that Chairman Mao started this campaign to starve his people and bring terror to his country, this is not true.

It was not in Chairman Mao's intentions to start the famine whats so ever.
The whole campaign was creating people's communes and other things I don't exactly remember right now.
Let's begin by examining the Great Chinese Famine, let's use CIA reports on said famine.
The Chinese Communist regime is now facing the most serious economic difficulties it has confronted since it consolidated its power over mainland China. As a result of economic mismanagement, and, especially, of two years of unfavorable weather, food production in 1960 was little
if any larger than in 1957—at which time there were about 50 million fewer Chinese to feed. Widespread famine does not appear to be at hand, but in some provinces many people are now on a bare subsistence diet and the bitterest suffering lies immediately ahead in the period befor
e the June harvests. The dislocations caused by the “Leap Forward” and the removal of Soviet technicians have disrupted China’s industrialization pro-gram. These difficulties have sharply reduced the rate of economic growth during 1960 and have created a serious balance of paymen
ts problem. Public morale, especially in rural areas, is almost certainly at its lowest point since the Communists assumed power, and there have been some instances of open dissidence
As we see, this was not a genocide, rather there was not enough food to feed the entire population. And the famine was not widespread.
Now, let's go onto the landlord "classicide", which was total bullshit.
There was no classicide, during the Chinese land reform, and since land was redistributed, struggle between landlords and their peasants increased.
Workers and peasants killed their own landlord.

Plus there was no government policy against landlords
Could you discover Mao's motive for killing the people he risked his entire life to save?
Mao had never claimed that the Great Leap Forward campaign had been without mistakes, rather he criticised himself on some practices in the Leap Forward. Unlike the Soviets, the Chinese admitted their goals were too high or unreasonable. And Mao admitted his screwups.
