This is against the abusive 40% tax over consoles value (PS and Xbox series) in Brazil. Which is added to a 60% of the base value import tax is it comes from the US.
It means, YES, you will pay DOUBLE the US price for the same consoles in Brazil. +

+ Not to mention the 16% tax (it derives from the same console tax) over handheld consoles (Nintendo Switch) and the 60% import tax mentioned before.
No wonder Nintendo, on its official comeback to Brazil, announced a retail price of 3000 BRL (Brazilian Real). +

+ A heavy tax charge that contributes to fund overbudget public projects, corrupt politicians and underfunded welfare policies and systems. Also no wonder the federal budget can't be right.
