DSA isn’t really a political org from what I’ve seen. It’s almost impossible for them to form a coherent politics because its members have competing class interests so they’re “ideology” is literally “we need more members”. They believe if they gain substantial working class >
membership the WC will simply tell them what to do, or something. Lots of well meaning folx in it, but the actionist elements within it will always see it, even unconsciously, as a springboard for their brand of “activism” which always feeds back into what they claim to fight
I think DSA’s overall idea is to get every member of the working class who THEY THEMSELVES HAVE DECIDED aren’t fascist to join, then they can then... fight the remaining working class fascists? Spread the gospel of of an incoherent “socialism” to them? This is unclear
