I’m watching a Robin Hood film and it managed to say ‘the crusades and war crimes are/were bad actually’ which is a low bar honestly.
‘Rich people start wars to line their pockets’
Okay this film is clearing some good bars imo.
It’s got an interesting intersection of modern aesthetics and political narratives with the Robin Hook myths.
Need to find critical analysis on this films themes. Apparently it was rated as terrible by lots of critics. Which I find weird bc...it’s not *that* bad?
...except in how it handles black characters as Sesali Bowen points out in her critical review.
