Tonight's Lifetime film is Forever Christmas. But it wasn't originally called Forever Christmas. If you're a subscriber to Passionflix, you'd know it as Mr. 365, which is based on a book by Ruth Clampett. Script by Gary Goldstein. The other production co is Pender Productions.
Changing the name of films happen a lot. One of the trends I'm seeing is that production companies are renaming and selling the rights to streaming services. So I'll see a film on one station then see it listed on a streaming service with a name change. The point is revenue...
And expanding the audience. Passionflix is a good streaming service but their reach is limited by the subscription process. So selling to a cable station like Lifetime gets more eyes on the film--and revenue to the production company to make more films.
Forever Christmas belonged in Lifetime. The infamous 1st kiss didn't come at the end of the film. kisses were interspersed from middle until HEA. Key to writing a TV Romance Film is to know the station you're writing for. https://play.mylifetime.com/movies/forever-christmas
Hallmark= 1 chaste kiss. Lifetime= 2+ is fine. The notion of premarital sex was also seen in Christmas on Ice on Lifetime when the roommate had a man sleepover, appearing in the kitchen in the morning.
