/5 A moment of confession and reflections. You see growing up I was told I was dyslexic and had learning disabilities. Reading and writing were always really hard for me but I couldn't be stopped. So, I developed coping mechanisms to make it through.
/5 Writing still scares me. I misspell words all the time and use improper grammar. It amuses me when people correct me as if I should already know the proper way of writing. Like I made a mistake in error due to a lack of attention not know I read, and reread it like 20 times.
/5 But it was early in life every one around me recognized that I was good at so many other things. That's what my parent used to encourage me in order to not let my deficiencies define me but my strengths and hard work. I'm so far from perfect
/5 Like many of the founders we back. They aren't perfect, they may not even know what a startup or VCs are (like me when I started). None of that matters in the end though. These things don't limit their ability to build great products and companies.
/5 Like me, they are far more than their deficiencies. They are exceptional in so many ways. That is what we at @RarebreedVC focus on, those exceptional traits. We are a Rare Breed backing Rare Breed founders - @krollja @imessien @Amanimalc
