have you guys heard about these marvel movies:? Just finished Iron Man. Cheesy, but in a good way.

a LOT of foreshadowing, like jeez, lay it on thick, much?

It's no surprise that RDJ became the face of the franchise and I reckon marvel knew what they had right away
Watching Hulk rn and well, i'm 2/3 of the way through and Liv Tyler just feels like an add-on. She's not bad just...unnecessary. Lame

I absolutely love Ed Norton but I'm having a hard time seeing him fit into this universe. I feel like if this wasn't a Marvel movie it'd be fine.
The Incredible Hulk feels almost...cartoonish. The nods to the comic are turned up to 11, the characters are ultra exaggerated (general-with-cigar-in-mouth) and it all feels...like a skit?

Would love to see a Tim Roth/Ed Norton film that wasn't trying to shoehorn in comic stuff
Boy do i Not Give A Single Shit about this fight scene towards the end. This is more a personal take, maybe? I've never been a fan of big brawn guy fights? And I miss the actors?

Do people like this movie/this scene? It really seems like an outlier to the collection of films.
HE SAID IT!!!
HE SAID HULK SMASH!!!
SAVED!!!!

🙄

I wonder if fans in theaters cheered. (remember those, theaters? I just made myself sad.)
[Just for clarification I've legitimately never seen Marvel movies]
One of the only things i've actually enjoyed about this movie is the use of colors. They really milked the purple and green thing, often in very good ways

That said, I really can't imagine a hard-nosed-no-nonsense-always-with-a-cigar military general slamming shots of midori
oh, okay. Iron man shows up a second before the credits.

This whole movie was just so they could scream "SHARED UNIVERSE" at the top of their lungs

okay. I guess this is where it all really begins. Iron-Man 2 is next? Makes sense to return there.

Let's go, MCU.
Learning that norton quit due to editing decisions--he wanted a longer movie (the original cut apparently featured DOOM?!) but the money guys wanted it sub 2 hours

i'm mad

i want to see the director's cut
ok so i'm watching Iron Man 2 and the first thing that matters is that Don Cheadle is the friend guy instead of Terrence howard. I'm a huge don cheadle fan but i feel like he doesn't fit the role?

I've seen him in the knock off iron man suit and he looks out of place

we'll see
Okay. I get the Scarlett Johansson thing.
Mickey Rourke as unwashed lightning whip dude is honestly kinda lame, but the F1 race action scene was absolutely top tier.
There's a definite Iron Man brand of fight scene and this was 100% it.

Note: points to LWD for committing to the toothpick, especially post jail break.
MY MAN DON CHEADLE USING A HOUSE PARTY AS AN EXCUSE TO TEST DRIVE THE LAMBO

THIS IS HOW THEY INTRODUCE FUCKING WARMACHINE?!

TO QUEEN?! AND DAFT PUNK?!

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Sam Jackson playing Sam Jackson is probably the best execution of this resourceful-super-secret-agent-eyepatch-boss-man possible.

I really hate the Hammer guy. dana carvey lookin ass
tony stark would never wear boot cut jeans how unrealistic
It was cool seeing scarlett joshieldagent do her thing, but watching iron man and iron man pro fight the clone war was actually bad ass as hell

This was a fun ride.
Iron Man 2 > Iron Man 1 > Hulk
Waking up to see that Iron Man 2 over Iron Man 1 is a hot take. Wild, I thought they were both really good. I still prefer Howard over cheadle, but 2 was fun as hell.

I imagine everyone hates Mickey routine? I just ignored him and it’s a great movie
