I want you guys to stop saying that the people at Lekki were shot for breaking a curfew. They did not break any curfew. The curfew was moved to 9pm. They were shot for gathering, for daring to challenge the government. It had nothing to do with a curfew. Tell it as it is.

And even if they indeed broke a curfew, the penalty should never have been death. If you believe that the consequence of breaking a curfew should be death, I hope that when bad things happen to you, they leave no stone unturned.

I have no idea why everyone is responding to this tweet with “even if they broke a curfew—.” Makes it look like I was making place for that argument. You guys know this is a thread, right? I mean, it’s right there. The tweet was followed by that statement. Haba naw.
