We, as Christian women, do not need a women’s empowerment movement.
Why?
Because Scripture tells us that we have Christ.
We are directly tied to the source of eternal life and have been given new life in Him.
He empowers us.
He is the Vine.
We are the branches.
Any blooms that come off us—the branches—are because of Him—the Vine.

He wills and works within us (Phil. 2:13) to accomplish the good works we were predestined for from the beginning of time (Eph. 2:10).
Scripture tells us what we need in light of knowing the treasure and power we have in Christ..and that is a women’s encouragement movement. (Titus 2:3-5)
We need to be told that we need Christ.
We need encouragement through the Scripture, not some man made empowerment that has about as much life giving potential as an unplugged defibrillator.
We need to be reminded daily that our only source of life, peace, contentment, and joy is found in Christ. (Col. 3:4, John 15:5)
We need to be encouraged to love our husbands and children, to be workers at home, kind, submissive, and self-controlled. (Titus 2:4-5)
We need to be encouraged to not only adorn the outward appearance but to also put time and energy into adorning the inner person of the heart (1 Peter 3:3-4).
We need to be encouraged with the truth that we’ve been given new life through His death and we can now bring our good works before God, not as filthy rags but as shining jewels covered in the blood of the Lamb.
That we can face whatever task at hand, however mundane and obscure it may be, with joy. Joy in knowing we were predestined by the love of the Father, to be adopted through the sacrifice of the Son, and given new life through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We are empowered through the triune Godhead. We need to be encouraged to live like that.
