daiya’s known for breaking down charas only to build them back up, but it’s also about how one reacts to reaching their highest moments. every moment is a chance for growth—whether one’s coming back from a loss or coming down from a high. it’s about making those moments count.
it’s a mainstay in the series, so i’m kind of upset i don’t see it talked about enough. it’s hardly surprising, tho, given how arcs/moments like the yips and how eijun recovered from it, all the bad, heavier things tend to stick more.
but there are other impactful moments. like when eijun learned to throw to the inside again or when he’d successfully thrown a change up after a night’s worth of practice. how he followed through after those highs was important too.
i feel like what tj is trying to say is that if there’s no reason to stop, then that’s enough reason to keep going. even in the face of adversity or even when it seems like nothing could go wrong.
