It has surely been an honour to connect with @join2manish sir on @TweepsYoung today.

Thank you so much @nipunnyy @an_napurna for giving us the opportunity!

A thread on his words of wisdom, values he discussed and points to ponder upon.

We all gave a quick introduction of ourselves, mentioning our bad habits. The top bad habits were:

1) Procrastination.

2) Over-thinking, Friction for starting.

3) Not taking action, laziness.

4) Getting disoriented, mad and taking bad decisions.

5) Self-doubt.

1/21
6) Consuming a lot, but not applying it, bad implementation.

7) Communication skills.

To be honest, most of us realised our bad habits only after Manish sir gave us this task that Wednesday.

Manish Sir& #39;s bad habit was the struggle to say NO.

What we should be doing:

1) Stop putting pressure on yourself.

2) Re-learn the good things, you learn something new everytime by redoing that.

3) Focus on what you& #39;ve in your hand.

4) You& #39;ve become & #39;arrogant& #39; with the internet. Doubting yourself, and people around you.

4/21
5) Consume, but consume less and wisely. Try to apply the values in real life.

6) Tell this daily: It& #39;s not late, give time, and find yourself.

7) Be aware of yourself, be in the moment and you certainly wouldn& #39;t procrastinate.

5/21
Every morning, do these simple exercises:

1) Discipline yourself to live naturally. Sleep at night, wake up early.

2) DON& #39;T touch your phone.

3) Sit on your bed comfortably. Slowly take deep breaths after waking up.

6/21
4) Get aware of things happening around you. Everything is there!

5) Store water in a copper bottle overnight and sip it slowly, holding the bottle tight to you. You& #39;ll feel good.

6) Get up from the bed slowly, and continue with your day.

7/21
& #39;Even the leaves wilt down every night to rest. If nature is mother, why aren& #39;t we following it?& #39;

8/21
Things you should do every once in a while:

1) Give time to yourself. Study how you& #39;re feeling, realise the inner self and decide on what to do next.

2) Don& #39;t be prey to intoxicants (cigarettes, liquor) it& #39;ll destroy you from within in the long run.

Water gives the best high!
3) Don& #39;t be translucent in everything you do. Be clear, complete it and feel good.

4) Exercise for at least 20 minutes everyday.

5) Eat good, and eat on time.

10/21
Manish sir wants us to LIVE not just & #39;exist& #39;.

Respect and acknowledge for the things around you, and be grateful for having them.

11/21
College isn’t a waste of time or a mistake. Embrace the values being taught and apply it in real life.

Everything from finishing assignments before the deadline, presenting to peers, preparing seminars beforehand.

There’s a lot to learn from everything.

12/21
Never compare yourself with a successful person in his/her current state.

Put yourself in their shoes, when they were of your age or level, and learn.

Be the next Kunal Shah, be the next Mark Zuckerberg. But first understand what they did at your stage.

13/21
If you can’t convert knowledge into wisdom and apply it in real life, it’s a waste of time.

It’s not about how much you consume, it’s about how much wisdom and knowledge you can follow from it.

14/21
Get the most out of anything that you’re watching/consuming.

Stop wasting time and overwhelming yourself with the ‘noise’ of the internet.

There& #39;s tons of information flooded today. You& #39;re wasting yours and the creator& #39;s time by not gathering points to enrich yourself.

15/21
Try realising, are the problems around you, created by you?

Most of our problems exist because we spend too much time studying the thoughts of others and not enough time studying our own.

This is crucial.

16/21
You just need to take the first step, you’ve every required resource you possibly need. The internet, phone, laptop.

If you& #39;re grateful for the things you& #39;ve, there& #39;s nothing stopping you from going ahead.

17/21
Keep your mind clear and pure always, you will attract things you NEED as you ask.

18/21
The most emphasised aspect by Manish sir in this whole session was to be aware of yourself, respect things around you, respect nature and find yourself.

19/21
All the points made by Manish sir contain a lot of wisdom, and it is hard for us to comprehend everything after just reading once.

I suggest everyone reading to come back to this thread and try to understand and apply everything into our daily lives.

20/21
I strongly believe if we even follow a few things Manish sir taught us, we can find inner peace and have a clear direction to head to. Thank you so much for reading till here!

This is the end of thread.

Please add more points below in case I missed it.
