hi everyone - not sure who will see this since i left this account, but inkigayo used the interior of the shrine of imam hussain as a background for NCT U’s make a wish stage. it is a mosque, but the writing is not qur’an - it’s a du’a (prayer) i’m pretty sure.
hussain (alaihissalam) is the grandchild of the holy prophet mohammed (saw) and i’m.... disgusted.
if you try to use this in a fanwar i will come to your house and cut off all of your toes. this is NOT about fanwars. this is NOT about my fav and your fav. if you try to make it about that you need to seriously reassess your life priorities, also u need to go fuck yourself

oh , additionally, some historical context: hussain (as) died in the battle of karbala, when many people were massacred, and is remembered as a tragedy in islamic history. this isn’t just a mosque, it’s the burial place of hussain (as.)
this is just baffling to me sm did not settle with cultural appropriation they said no, we’re going to disrespect a religion, disrespect a grave, disrespect an event that’s mourned yearly by muslims around the world. good lord
IMPORTANT - after discussing, i realised that i in fact misinterpreted the writing. this doesn't change that what they did was wrong, but it is NOT a du'a/supplication/prayer. thank you to the person who told me
