something i learned from sw: NEVER risk your independence by only having one employer/client. if you have to only work for one employer, always keep another stream of income alive. if you only work for one person, that person owns you.

it doesn't matter how good the material benefits or false sense of security is. there's no real security from being owned by one employer unless you have enough privilege to not care if you lose that client/employer from the beginning.

security is something you have to figure out for yourself it's not something someone else can ever give you
