Why Dragon may be the strongest character in the series.
For starters, I think one of the major things about dragon that a lot of us overlook, is simply his goal and ambition.

To take down the world government, more so the celestial dragons but I don't think you can take down one, without the other, essentially dragon wants to "FREE"-
the people of the world who are shackled and made slaves to the government, in order to truly understand his strength, we have to compare his ambition to that of who we all perceive to be the most powerful character in the series, Gold D. Roger, the pirate king. when you-
-consider the differences between the two, Roger's goal as pirate king was simply to make HE HIMSELF the most "free" man in the sea, but dragons goal encompasses not only himself, but the entire world, comparing these two imagine how powerful dragon would have to be in order to-
-beileve he could accomplish this feat? Mihawk told luffy, becoming the pirate king is a path more perilous than surpassing even him, THAT'S THE PIRATE KING, imagine if Luffy's goal was to FREE the world? That's a path more perilous than the pirate kings journey! another big-
-comparison we have to make with dragon, is big mom and kaido and the answer is simple, both big mom and kaidos goals are to be the pirate king one way or another, they do not have a journey in mind, that has the same weight as dragons, dragon himself is on a journey more-
-dangerous than any other man in the seas, moving into another point, Blackbeard so far has targeted dragon for whatever reason, attacking his base at Baltigo and the Burgess/Sabo interactions, I think Blackbeards goal rivals dragons, unlike Dragon who wants to free the world-
-similar to Rocks D. Xebec, Blackbeard seeks to become the King of the world as well. Obviously for a man who wants to rule the world, one who wants to "free" its people would be a threat, which is why he's targeting him, who did blackbeard target before Dragon? The man who was-
-seen as the most powerful in the world during his time, Whitebeard. This could be a coincidence, or it could be Blackbeard taking out another threat or enemy he sees as a potential rival to his throne in the end, thanks for reading let me know what ya'll think in the replies.
I still got kaido top 1 tho
