Salary in the UK is a joke. Salary in London is blasphemous. Salary should match up with living and it literally doesn’t here. It is not about people not knowing how to be financially smart it is about salaries here are set to have you from paycheck to paycheck

You can still save every single month, pay for your monthly expenses and budget and still be living month to month because you are afraid to even touch your savings or because there literally isn’t any room left for yourself

In the UK the salaries are literally living to work and die. Minimum wage is a joke, pay per hour is actually insulting and annual salaries are only ever liveable when they go into the 40% tax threshold and even then it’s not enough because living is at an all time high

This is why a lot of people just rather enjoy life and go on holidays and/or their priority isn’t saving up for a house because even that in itself is literally a joke. The whole pension scheme in jobs is ridiculous cause they been pushing the age further back like a hairline

You literally contemplate whether you want to just go away for a weekend and take time for yourself or buy something you’ve always wanted or to even pamper yourself or save the money and do without. There’s no leg room. No squeeze it’s always contemplation

All I’m saying is if salaries actually matched the living in the UK as they should there wouldn’t be a massive stint of poverty here. But again look at our government debating whether children should eat or not. So what do I even know
