2./ @ForwomenScot are a bright light in the grey sanctimonious culture in Scotland under the present SNP leadership. But they have just 21 days left to raise the rest of the ÂŁ60K they need. Their Review has a date set: January 7th 2021. It's time to give them all you can please.
3./ @ForwomenScot receive no taxpayers' money; unlike the array of strange LGBTQ+ and fake Equality organisations that constantly beset them. Those opponents are mostly job creation schemes that never saw a glint of public money they didn't hoover up and misuse.
4./ These brave feminists are also constantly trolled, bullied and misrepresented by elected mediocrities and narcissists like @patrickharvie and @MrJohnNicolson who seem intent on proving Scotland's intellectual decline has entered a new and inexorable phase.
5./ Nicolson and Harvie make the days when Donald Dewar, John Smith, Margo MacDonald and Jim Sillars represented us seem like some sort of Golden Age in Scottish political life. Can you imagine any of them labelling feminists a hate group (or trying to get a gay group silenced)?
6./ @ForwomenScot deserve your support just for opposing Nicolson and Harvie's oversized egos but their judicial review is far more important than that. They spotted that the Scottish government - smarting from its defeat in the Gender Recognition debate - was up to no good.
7./ Taking a leaf out of the copybook of the trans lobby as revealed last year by the @spectator the Scottish govt decided surreptitiously to redefine the word 'woman' without proper public debate. https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-document-that-reveals-the-remarkable-tactics-of-trans-lobbyists
8./ Statutory Guidance it published in May 2020 (in the middle of the lockdown) reveals lobbying by the publicly funded @ScottishTrans group has been taken on board and a woman can now be anyone "describing themselves and being described by others...as a woman."
9./ Yep, that is indeed Self-ID by the back door and that would be bad enough but what's particularly disgusting is this is Guidance for a law that had the specific aim of increasing the representation of women in public bodies. It also undermines the Equality Act completely.
10./ The Equality Act is reserved to Westminster. It's not devolved. You may disagree and think it should be but that's a different debate. The Scottish govt is attempting to redefine the terms used in the UK's Equality Act without any debate at all. Stakes could not be higher.
