I just had a nightmare. Gonna make a short thread describing it.

I was in a vacant factory with a man who looked a bit like Al Gore. The factory music from Donkey Kong Country is playing. Al Gore shows me a chemical he has created - a resin-like liquid that hardens instantly (1)

He demonstrates the material for me. A giant mechanical arm grabs a pig and places it in a glass tank full of the clear resin-like substance. The pig thrashes around in the tank. There is a blinking green light above the tank. The light stops blinking and turns a solid red (2)

The moment the light turns red, the pig freezes with a horrified expression on its face. The substance has hardened, trapping the pig inside. The man who resembles Al Gore says the pig is now dying but will be perfectly preserved forever. Then the man says “it is now my turn” (3)

A giant mechanical arm grabs the man and places him in a tank of resin. The light blinks green, then shines red. I get a good look at him. He has no expression, but I somehow know he is in agony. I stare into his unaffected, unmoving expression as he suffocates (4)

Even though he is perfectly still and emotionally vacant in appearance, I can see the exact moment he loses his life. Whether it’s a light in his eyes going out or his soul leaving his body I can’t say. But there is an exact moment where he’s there and suddenly gone (5)

A giant mechanical arm grabs me and places me into a tank. I begin to panic, trying to swim out. The material is too viscous and inescapable. The light blinks green, then suddenly red. I’m stuck, starring out into the factory. I cannot even move my eyes. I need air (6)

I feel pain in my chest as I begin to suffocate. My ears are ringing louder and louder. My vision gets brighter and brighter until it fills with white. I feel unbearable pain all over my whole body. I am overwhelmed by the sensations and then suddenly, darkness and silence (7)

Now I’m awake and covered in sweat. Ive genuinely never felt more scared in my entire life. Probably not gonna be able to sleep for the rest of the night (end of thread)
