I attended the officiation of my friend's marriage at Kamba Mosque. My first time in a mosque & what an experience. Let me share some.
-I took off my shoes and I can tell you the inside of a mosque is the cleanest.
-Women and men dont mix even the bride was in the other room.

-As the sheikh was speaking, a man walks in and screams, "Shehe yembekezani kaye." I'm like oh my God is he about to stop it like in the movie. But then he says, ah mene mwayambira kuyankhula a shehe and gives him some money. They all cheer. I found it beautiful!

- Apparently in Islam, if a man is unhappy with a woman's failure to submit one of the things to do is move out of the bed and sleep in another room until she acknowledges her mistake and follows you. I don't know if I got this so well.
Anyway, I found it beautiful. I might join!
