Ok so lemme explain the REAL situation as clearly as possible so that y'alls lovely asses can stop attacking us
- Last week (or last 2 weeks), Sejun posted a choreography of them dancing on his Instagram, together with their coach.
- After about 2 hours or so, some people +
+ noticed that the song was about the justice of Breonna Taylor's death. Lemme note here that most of us weren't aware about the song after some Alices pointed out about the song on twt
- After knowing about it, Alices crested templates and we mass emailed PlayM, saying that +
+ the song was not appropriate to dance to, given that the song was about justice.
- After 4 hours ON THE SAME DAY HE POSTED THE VID, Sejun took the video down, meaning that the emails reached him and he got the memo.
- Yesterday, he also apologised on live regarding the matter +
+ and he would be extra cautious when posting anything on the Internet in the future. He really didn't know the meaning of the song.
- He was also eating during the live as he needed to practice with the other members +
+ for their fanmeeting, he was also eating as fast as possible.
- He acknowledged the comment on the live instead of ignoring it, which implies that he is in fact, aware that it was a mistake.
- Him eating did not make the apology any more insincere or forced, +
he apologised about it sincerely and without pressure.
- We asked fanaccs to delete the video not because we wanted to sweep the matter under the rug, because it might cause misinformation to other fandoms/ new fans/ people in general, given that he ALREADY deleted the vid.
- Spreading the video around without context was just causing unnecessary hate towards the group.
- English is not their first language, which makes sense for them not knowing the meaning of the song. I'm assuming that they chose the song purely for the beat n rhythm. +
+ - I'm not black, but I am a woman of colour, and I am aware that this is an offensive mistake. But attacking is literally not gonna make it any better. As I've been saying this many times, EDUCATING is better than spreading hate.
- Not accepting the apology is fine, +
+ but saying the he was insincere because he was eating and playing music is not fine.
- If an official statement is needed (imo, spreading yterday's apology seems better), Alices are mass emailing to the company with templates created by Alices that understand Korean. +
+ here's a link to a template https://docs.google.com/document/u/0/d/1VqX2kKsgiaX6vzEmLrrQSCasFE46UgMIK6mfOCIPGxI/mobilebasic (credits to owner)
- To black fans/people, we aren't against you. We are SUPPORTING y'all. We had the situation under control but it somehow blew up. We're just a small fandom, news spread around fairly quickly.
I hope this was clear enough. Stop spreading hate about Victon when they are just at their peak of success.

Another good day to remind y'all that u can email the template mentioned in my previous threads to the email [email protected] to get a formal apology instead of cancelling the whole group for an unintentional mistake :)
Update: I am very happy to say that the members apologised (Seungsik through Victon's Official Instagram). I'm utterly proud for them to acknowledge their mistakes as they should and not talking this matter lightly. Here are the translations +
