I have just this to say:

Be the person that a country wants to be integrated as if you want to live in the country. Don't be someone else.
So, if you want to live in Singapore, be a Singaporean. If you want to live in Norway, think, speak and behave like a Norwegian even if you can never be one because of your upbringing.
Therefore, to Singaporeans who take on another persona and ideology thinking that they could change SG. when they come back.

It's your choice, but personally, I don't think that's going to work. If I were you, I won't return *if* I am already set in my ideology.
So, when in Rome do as the Romans do - especially if you are a Roman citizen or even a former one.

If you think you can change a country of 5.6 million by "being yourself", it would have been better if you "be yourself" in a place where you are comfortable at.
And finally, this thread goes out to @funkshin in which his account is private, so I can no longer reference it but it is something that I would like to give my 2 cents, and not something snarkey or trying to be XX or all that immature shit...
