A finding in a study in Sweden also confirmed the information that after obesity surgery, weight may not be under control if the amount of exercise is not increased.
A person’s tendency to gain weight increases with age no matter how much he moves or eats. Many people who have had obesity surgery also have a tendency to gain weight.
In a study at the Swedish Karolinska Institutet, the cause of almost inevitable weight gain was found in adipose tissue lipids.

Lipids are the collective name for fats and fat-like substances produced in cells and tissues.
According to the researchers, the tendency to gain weight is explained by the rate of lipid exchange, which changes in adipose tissue as a person gets older. More weight is gained even if eating does not increase or the amount of exercise does not decrease.
Lipid exchange rate refers to how fats and fat-like substances are stored in cells and how quickly they are removed from fat cells.
“Research suggests that these particular lipid processes in human adipose tissue regulate weight changes with aging, independent of other factors, ” says Peter Arner, a researcher at the Karolinska Institute in Huddingen, in a press release from the Karolinska Institutet.
The study included 54 men and women. They were followed for an average of 13 years.

During the follow-up period, the rate of their lipid exchange in adipose tissue slowed down regardless of whether weight increased or decreased.
In subjects who did not compensate for the change in lipid exchange rate by eating a low-calorie diet, weight gain averaged 20 percent.
Favorable switching speed

The study also included 41 women who had had obesity surgery. Their lipid exchange rate and weight were monitored four to seven years after surgery.
It turned out that only those whose lipid exchange rate was favorable before surgery were successful in controlling the weight.
Previous studies have shown that one way to speed up the rate of lipid metabolism in the metabolic system is to exercise more with this pill ( https://clnk.in/mFhl )
New research supports this and suggests that obesity surgery will produce better results over a longer period of time if the effect of the surgery is improved by also increasing the amount of exercise.

The study was released Monday by Nature Medicine .
