I have asked this on here before and suddenly all those "Rashford" types have no answers.
Why should a taxpayer fund meals for children that are not their own, when the parents of those children already receive taxpayer funding via Child Benefit and Universal Credit etc.?
For ..
what other purpose are those parents using the money intended for the upkeep of their children?
Would those clamouring for this funding to be given, support taking all of those children into care? After all, their parents are supposedly saying that they can't cope.
From where
do people think that all of this money is coming? Taxpayers, through the Government have provided extensive support, throughout - both pre-Covid and now.
Why whould I be lectured by footballers and luvvies, who channel their earnings through tax-efficient companies?
What is
stopping these people putting their hands into their own pockets? Spending their own money rather than mine?

Football and the 'Arts' are the same industries that are looking for the Government (that means us taxpayers) to also provide great wedges of cash to support them.
Money that can then no doubt be paid through their private companies.
#EnoughIsEnough Taxpayers have paid enough. If footballers and luvvies on £100,000's a week or Doctors on that per year or MPs want to pay into a fund to provide this support - have at it! Nothing stopping you
But there is no way the government should be putting its ever-stickier fingers into my pocket and taking my hard-earned money and giving it to parents who are apparently unable to raise the children THEY decided to have.
They must take responsibility not the Government, not me!
