Psychiatrist Jack Turban recently had his paper claiming that anything short of affirming a child's gender identity is harmful thoroughly debunked. Turban doesn't want psychiatrists to be able to explore the causes of dysphoria to help alleviate it. He asserts any treatment that doesn't fully accept the child's identity is "conversion therapy." This is dangerous rhetoric that will keep children from getting proper care.
