Rambling part 3: I just want to talk about how Muhsin & Ayse are 2 of the people Kerem loves AND admires the most. But I also see parallels in his reaction in leaving the house/company and leaving his “fake marriage”/break up.

Before I start: I never believed one person loved someone less than the other. If you pay attention, you see how their insecurities take hold at different stages but they learn & realize love is worth it all. I briefly wrote about what their love felt like to me. #AfiliAƟk #ayker https://twitter.com/CitrocityB/status/1228319018962051072
Kerem has a fear of disappointing people, which caused him to hurt Ayse many times. but he learned he can’t play with other’s emotions like a yo-yo. Also those scenes showed that his flaws include being impulsive, panicked, & sometimes overwhelmed by “monster feelings.” #AfiliAƟk
1 of Ayse’s insecurities stemmed from the fact that she was with the biggest ex-playboy—feeling she wasn’t exciting enough for him. She also had a different pace of intimacy—remember Berk the jerk, basically shamed her for it? & nobody better shame her for her choices! #AfiliAƟk
So her insecurities made sense but also revealed her character flaws. When Ayse’s insecure & angry, she’s not mindful of her choice of words and how they can hurt. Her pride comes out as a defense mechanism. But she learns her lessons too. #AfiliAƟk #ayker
So back to the topic! When you compare everyone in his life—there are 2 people that stand out—whose opinion of him matter the most—Muhsin & Ayse. Forget what the others say because others usually let Kerem do whatever. But Muhsin & Ayse push and challenge him. #AfiliAƟk #ayker
Muhsin & Ayse have expectations of him...because they believe in him. They believe in his potential. The truth is Ayse more so than anyone. She’s seen him at his lowest & yet saw someone who was capable of more. I wrote an entire thread of Ayse’s faith in him here. #AfiliAƟk https://twitter.com/CitrocityB/status/1283355988314271745
For a playboy painted as callous, 1 of the most important things was having someone believe in him & his potential to become someone who can accomplish anything he set his mind to. He thrived on that—It’s exhilarating when someone thinks you can conquer the world. #AfiliAƟk
They mean the world to him. But it’s for the same reason, their words have the most impact—the people you care about the most, can hurt you the most. For someone whose fears are disappointing the people he loves, feeling like you’ve lost their faith in you is crippling. #AfiliAƟk
We all know what happens when Kerem is overwhelmed. But we had an example in episode 13 how reactionary he is when he’s hurt by Muhsin, who thinks he hasn’t changed. He leaves the house, company & family. It’s anger & pain but it’s never that he loves Muhsin any less. #AfiliAƟk
Ep 30 was more convoluted but Kerem’s decision had similar influences. Remember this scene, it wasn’t really their argument in 29 that triggered the 💔 decision. Here they both agreed the other did nothing wrong. It was more the events after that triggered it. #AfiliAƟk #ayker
There were multiple factors, which I’ll mention in another rambling, but one of the main factors was Ayse’s rash use of certain words driven by insecurities—When she accused him of forgetting her & when she thought he was capable of being a cruel boss. #afiliaƟk #ayker
That hurt. How could she say that after everything? Doubt his love? It’s feeling like she doesn’t have faith in you—though in her defense (although not OK), they were careless words said in the heat of the moment. But going back to the Ayse having faith in him threadâ€”âŹ‡ïž
#afiliaƟk
it’s almost like feeling you can’t be the man for her—you’re not good enough and you’ve disappointed her. The pain, hurt & anger are all apparent. Just like he walked out on Muhsin (last 3 pics), he says it’s over with Ayse. I refuse to post those court screenshots. #afiliaƟk
Kerem’s attitude are similar in both scenarios—he won’t apologize and his decision is final. She should be the one to apologize. The difference is that his feelings for Ayse surpasses Muhsin. The way he admires & loves her...the hurt is just as proportional. #afiliaƟk
Anyway, I just wanted to point out this parallel so I can tweet the last few ramblings. But as Ayse points out—muhsin still loves & trusts him—that’s unchanged. During separation, our 2 relationship newbies learned to answer the question “what does love mean?” #afiliaƟk
Like I said, this story appeals to me because it’s 2 imperfect people who learn to love & value each other with all their flaws & mistakes. They grow together yet maintain & respect their strong identities. Ok more ramblings later; sorry for the spam. #afiliaƟk #ayker
