Over the last several months I’ve fielded a lot of good-faith questions from people about what’s happening in Xinjiang. I’ve been translating and summarizing a number of primary source documents as I go through the research. The first batch is online here: https://wokeglobaltimes.com/xinjiang
This is maybe 10% done, but I hope it helps provide some context, particularly for non-Mandarin speakers, on the evidence at play. It is absolutely critical that those on the Western left maintain a critical eye towards hawkishness *without* excusing the sins of other governments

Some Chinese people who have written about the crisis include @chenchenzh @Crescentosier @yangyang_cheng @Yaqiu @wang_maya
There are even more Uyghur voices, and yes, a small number of them who maintain that everything is TOTALLY FINE!!!! More critical voices include: @MahmutRahima
@KewserWayit @AbdurehimGheni @MamutjanAB @JewherIlham @SamiraImin off the top of my head.
