Here’s what I learned from my training for absentee ballot processing:
-Ideal mode to vote: absentee in person at City Hall. Makes their jobs wayyyy easier.
-If voting absentee by mail/drop box, get ballot in by 10/30. Then the army of volunteers can process your ballot on 10/31 https://twitter.com/pressherald/status/1320011498903773191
Vote absentee if at all possible, just make sure your ballot gets there (you can track it! 🤩). Voting in person will take a lot longer than normal on Election Day.

Of course, vote on Election Day if you need to. Just vote! But bundle up in case it’s cold and you have to wait.
Expected wait times in Waterville: up to an hour on Election Day.
Finally: this info is based on our experience in Waterville, Maine. YMMV.
