Autopsies find first U.S. coronavirus death occurred in early February, weeks earlier than previously thought
By way of example, I was in a Northern Italy city for a week over the New Year's holiday, and the place was absolutely TEEMING with Chinese tourists, coughing and sneezing their heads off (as usual; less public spitting than usual, I thought).
I was far from the only American present there, I exhibited wht I later learned to be coronavirus symptoms immediately after the trip when I was back in the US.

No doubt, fellow travelers from that time can relate similar experiences, incl Chinese travelers then within the US.
