Seing the Sheendom / Good Omens fandom dividing like this really breaks my heart. Especially that there is no actual reason for this to happen. Please read this Thread to understand why I say that:
Basically this is the main problem here. On both side. Miscommunication.
When you put those two tweet side by side it actually become so clear:
Initially, the person wanted to talk about a subject that matters to them and which IS important but they did it in a way that sounded a bit rude (even though they didnât mean it to be)
On the other end Michael, who seems to be going through a hard time right now, only saw the rudeness in this tweet and blocked the user. He didnât do it bc of the blm content like he clarified later.
Now I also understand the reaction of the person who has been blocked, I wouldâve been shocked as well, not sure of why he would block me.
I would also understand if they are angry that Michael took their comment as rude when it wasnât intended to be. But the way your message is perceived is actually not something you can 100% control sadly
Still was it an over-reaction to block? I honestly canât tell bc like he said we donât know everything and maybe heâs going through hard times rn and blocking people who appear to him to be mean is his way to cope with all that.
In the end, Iâm afraid we are all humans and even though itâs hard to admit, Michael is too. We all have bad days when everything sounds like an insult and we all have our ways of reacting to it. Sometimes we are even unfair and mean. He is no different.
I understand people who feel disappointed but be disappointed because he didnât reacted properly in a bad time.

In conclusion, donât argue and tear each other apart on a misunderstanding! Donât insult either Michael or the person who commented on his tweet! Try to understand each side and why this happened!
Letâs all work together to make this place safe again for everyone. I know we can do it, thatâs all we ever did.
