Thing is with how closeted people are, it’s actually safer to assume that one might not be straight as to help them express themselves (should they actually be lgbtq+) without having to outwardly identify who they are. There is no inherent danger in assuming someone is lgbtq+ unless of course you do it in a way that might out them. But there is a danger in assuming someone is straight because said person, if happen to be lgbtq+, will feel the heteronormative pressure to hide even more
So within the fandom itself, I think it’s safe for us to relate DC to the lgbtq+ community. The girls themselves have given us so many hints. But let it stay within the fandom and not out in public especially with their public community (for eg in korean broadcast)
