Gringo is slang referred to north-americans (sometimes includes UK). It doesn& #39;t consider race, if you& #39;re from US, bam! You& #39;re a gringo.

It& #39;s not an offensive term and it could be used as a synonim of "American"

Now, is there pissed ppl using it so it sound "kinda meanie"?: Yes. Rightfully so tho.

Does it make it a slur?: Nope.
