And it's also kinda funny how this group of ppl is actually doing exactly what the tag criticises.

Anyway, if you're confused:

Gringo is slang referred to north-americans (sometimes includes UK). It doesn't consider race, if you're from US, bam! You're a gringo.

It's not an offensive term and it could be used as a synonim of "American"

Now, is there pissed ppl using it so it sound "kinda meanie"?: Yes. Rightfully so tho.

Does it make it a slur?: Nope.

Is it racist?: Nope. I don't even get how some jumped to this conclusion anyway
