Ok, so, MC build thread time!
Gonna be going through my screenshots folder for Minecraft and talking about the various creative-mode build projects I've done, sharing relevant screenshots along the way.
#Minecraft
So, first up is one of my earliest major builds, a steampunk/dieselpunk airship I named the Aetherwing. It was made for use in the Glimmar's Steampunk texturepack (which, last I remember, was basically abandoned), and was finished around March 16, 2015.
I'd made a few airship designs using this pack before, but all of them were basically a child's drawing of a boat, minus a sail, in the air.
Also, I made them out of wool and hid TNT blocks in them, the idea being that one could use fire-charge cannons for ship-to-ship battles.
This backfired rather spectacularly, when, while working on the one I built before the Aetherwing, I put down & flipped a lever in the wrong place, causing a chain reaction that tore apart the ship and heavily cratered the ground below (which can be seen in some of these shots).
A related build is the steampunk city I'd begun haphazardly building in the same world, which had a subway system, a fairgrounds, a borehole full of mysterious pipes leading into the depths, and some decent architecture.
A few quick builds here:
-A basic 8-bit RAM circuit, not attached to anything
-A pair of cyberpunk buildings, one of which didn't get finished
-A set of buildings inspired by Skyrim's Dragonsreach (which I made a copy of that I burnt down for Science™)
Here's the predecessor to the big cathedral build, inspired by the cathedral in Florence, Italy; however, I didn't entirely know what I was doing, and some inconsistencies in the planning meant I ran into problems I wasn't exactly eager to solve, leaving the project unfinished.
Another few builds:
-A rather large luxury apartment building (whose bottom floor was never made, iirc)
-A couple of attempts at palaces, using the (then newly-released) glazed terracotta
-Some facades/exteriors for modern apartment buildings, inspired by some Russian ones IRL
Here's a fairly large build, which was inspired by the depiction of Laketown in the Hobbit movies; I used a software called Worldpainter to make custom terrain
A few more short ones:
-A set of wall-to-wall medieval buildings, intended for copy/pasting into larger city builds
-A few examples of some WorldPainter terrain fun, with the program World Machine used to generate base terrain heightmaps
-A very, very long bridge. It's long.
A short diversion to my previous thread on my cathedral build, which was put into the world shown in those last three screenshots: https://twitter.com/starseeker8749/status/1319931025300942850
-A sci-fi-ish office complex of some sort; my first main experience copy/pasting some smaller props rather than whole buildings
-A mansion thingy
-An incomplete gatehouse with bridge
-More modern apartments fun
