1. Self teaching is hard and requires alot of mental strength and dedication.

Lots of times I tell myself "ah today imma practice hands" and I draw one hand, look at it and go back to my comfort zone https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😅" title="Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß" aria-label="Emoji: Lächelndes Gesicht mit offenem Mund und Angstschweiß">
2. Comfort Zones are nice but also dangerous.

It& #39;s all well and good having a comfort zone but if you dont step out of it you& #39;ll be stagnant and lack versatility (which I personally think isnt wonderful to have as an artist, pls dont attack me).
3. Art can be very taxing mentally and physically.

Art is supposed to be, in theory, a relaxing activity but there are times when it gets pretty rough. Sitting for long hours drawing. Wrist pain. Frustration from the piece not coming out like you want it to OOF.
4. Art Styles make you unique but having more than one is just as good.

Being able to switch up styles allows you to create different feelings for different pieces.
5. Artists have alot of power.

They can make themselves or anyone or anything into what they envision it to be. In all honesty this is great but also very dangerous.
6. Burn out is real and it& #39;s okay to take breaks.

You wont lose your ability to draw if you take a day or two off. Please. Rest.
7. Patience is a must.

If you dont practice some form of patience you& #39;re just gonna stress yourself out even more and it may reflect on your art. (Loool the Werewolf that I did is a good example.)
8. Umm?? Have fun with it at the end of the day https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🥳" title="Partying face" aria-label="Emoji: Partying face">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🥳" title="Partying face" aria-label="Emoji: Partying face"> Art is really supposed to be self expression. Every piece you make has a piece of you in it. I always tell myself if I cant find myself in my art then it really isnt me.
9. Line art isnt always a must.

Honestly if you dont like how the line art for someone turned out get rid of it and paint https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen"> (just practice it at some point tho)
10. Colors set the mood of a piece.

The use of color is really important especially if you want to get a certain vibe across.
11. When designing a character you can use their clothes, facial structure and hair to convey what kind of personality they have without them saying a word. (I thought this was really cool when I found out).
Ahahah I hope this thread made sense cause I forgot my points like 3 times https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen">https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="😂" title="Gesicht mit Freudentränen" aria-label="Emoji: Gesicht mit Freudentränen"> I& #39;ll do another one in the future since I& #39;m still a beginner https://abs.twimg.com/emoji/v2/... draggable="false" alt="🥺" title="Pleading face" aria-label="Emoji: Pleading face">
