Another thing people need to understand about football is that, players compliment each other. You cannot play Katsande and Ngcobo and expect fluidity. You can't have Parker, Castro and Billiat as you front 3 and expect results, you're asking too much.
These things are done at training. As a coach, you should be able to know the strengths and weaknesses of your players, you cannot just field players on "face value" as Hunt said. You also cannot give it a benefit of a doubt or roll the dice and see how it pans out.
Play players according to their attributes and have a system that will work for them. You can't be a coach and always shout "hey hey hey" the whole game. What's shocking is to see the likes of Cardoso and Mphahlele off positioned, how does Hunt, Zwane and Dillon allow that?
You can see that these players are sometimes on autopilot, that high line defence infuriates me so much because it is unnecessary, always caught napping. Daniel and Rama always, I mean always out of their positions, Khune allows that too.
Khune no longer even leads his pack. What happened "away" shouts? Or "keeper's ball"? "gents first pole and last pole, switch on", "D-line zonal marking"... Maybe coz I'm watching on TV I can't see it, but fact is, I used to see it now it's not there.
Khune should, at training, tell any 3 of the attacking players to be at certain spots for a quick transition, you show this on the "drawing board" then try to execute it on the field. Also Khune has to talk with the DM, to close the d line as said to prevent long Rande shots.
