Last week I was in DC masked up and socially distant, for the #ACBHearings. Counter protestors claiming to be “pro-life” - many unmasked- harassed our group by shouting at us, photographing us, and coughing on us.

On Wednesday, I tested positive for COVID.

This comes after months of following the CDC guidelines, being at home, not seeing anyone from my family, not hugging friends.

The counter protestors claimed to be “pro-life” and “women for Amy.” They yelled at us about Jesus and abortion and we backed away because they were unmasked, they taunted, “what are you scared?”

This is the natural conclusion of a Trump administration that didn’t take COVID seriously and encouraged this behavior. And a party who couldn’t muster the votes for COVID relief, but said they had the votes to ram through this process before the nominee was even named.
