Baylor student senate calls for affirmation of LGBTQ+ but claims that they do not intend "to change the identity of Baylor as a Baptist university."

Whoever affirms LGBTQ+ is not only not a Baptist but also not even a Christian. Sad news.

There’s a lot of interaction on this tweet. To be clear, affirming LGBTQ+ is not compatible with following Jesus. In fact, it is a pathway to apostasy. Anyone who claims otherwise is sadly mistaken.

The good news of the gospel, however, is that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—including LGBTQ+ sinners! Any sinner—no matter what they’ve done—can be connected to Christ’s saving work by repenting and believing the gospel (Mark 1:15).
