major TW: suicide and insane mad

gonna be honest, and this will probably be my last tweet on this site for a while, but i’m actually incredibly pissed off on how many of you treat suicide.

a thread.

maybe it’s my trauma, but even though right now i’m feeling actually kinda good about myself, i wish i NEVER had to go through the torture i had to go through this year. if i could make the decision again that i almost did last spring, i would definitely have killed myself

people who constantly abuse suicidal people for feeling suicidal due to “the impact suicide has on others” are privileged morons. i had to deal with this from my ex, and it was some special kind of bullshit

if these people actually cared about pain, they’d be advocating for a better system to treat suicidal people. i’m going to give some ideas about what this system could look like and how it benefits everyone involved

we need to legalise assisted suicide.

sane suicidal people should be able to ask for, and then receive through a process, a painless way to die, hopefully in a process that allows the family to be more comfortable with their decision

this works off 2 assumptions

assumption #1 - people with the capability to commit suicide would go for it regardless of the accessibility of the method

assumption #2 - families and friends of the deceased will be at more comfort if they know that they knew that they could change the mind of the deceased

i believe that having a system where people can accept that depression, like any other illnesses, physical and neurological, has a chance of unpreventable death, is better for everyone.

i will not be looking back to see how this thread does. i do not care
