This one is for everyone suffering with invisible symptoms who have been told that it’s ‘all in your head’.

It’s so easy to dismiss what someone is experiencing, simply because their symptoms can’t be seen in the same way that a physical injury or disability can.
So many people, and in particular women (cue the ‘hysterical woman’ stereotype that feeds into doctors not believing women about their pain or symptoms!), are told that what they’re experiencing is in their head.
This is SO wrong! How many people would have been diagnosed or given the help they need so much sooner if only they were BELIEVED?
Education and awareness around invisible illnesses is so key to ensuring that more people don’t have their symptoms dismissed as not being real.
What you’re experiencing is real. It is not in your head. We believe you.
