Harry Bingham and Cassandra Pressman are just high school rivals. Aren& #39;t they? (a thread)
This is basically a thread of Hassandra moments that make me think there& #39;s more to their relationship than a mere rivalry. Moments that got me shipping them hard.
First of all, their interactions are based on him lashing out on her every time she says or does somethings. Why does he take everything from her like a personal attack?
And, even if she tries to hide it, she& #39;s always left with that glimpse of hurt in her eyes whenever he snaps at her. Why would she be hurt if he was indifferent to her?
“Not a flicker of doubt?” What is the relevance of this? Of all things he could have said, why would he chose to say *that*? Alluding to the play they did together and all the time they spent together rehearsing.. it has to be some inside reference that only them can decipher.
The whole church scene is an anthem. First, the way he keeps staring her down. Then him, as always, fighting everything she says. Then the tension of the coin flipping, another reference to their play!.
And she clearly states "Harry, this has nothing to do with you and me”. Gives you something to think about, right?
When the gun goes off, he almost immediately looks back to check if she’s alright, almost as if he’s concerned for her. Would he fear for her life if she was just a rival?
No words. Just stares. Angsty and hurt and guilty. Why does he look back at her like that? And she immediately averts his stare? She can’t even look him in the eye... the disappointment, the sadness.
Cassandra walks by and Harry just shamelessly checks her out. I mean… would you look at your so hated rival like that?
Cassandra looking back at Harry 2 seconds later. What& #39;s the reason?
