I will never forget what one of my classmates said about kpop before I got into kpop, we had to "study" for our speaking part in our final exams and the first part of it was the introduction. And since I didn't feel like talking that day I ask her which music she listend+
She said kpop and I ask her why bc I was genuine curious, I never listend to it but also never judge others for it, I just didn't care, but I ask and a bit over 1 year later and nearly a year into kpop I still remember her response
I don't know the name of the group, but she said that they make her happy, help her, tought her to love herself and so much more. And I remember how stunned I was. Bc that's great. At this time I didn't really know what to say+
But now that I'm here too... I finally understand, really understand what she meant by this. Our faves may be different but one thing, one thing is always the same they make us want to be better, love ourselves more, living our dream. And I think that's how it really should be+
Bc in return for all the love we give our faves, bc in return for all the love our faves give us we get a safe space, a bit happier, a bit less lonely, a bit closer to who we dream to be.
I'm really regretting not looking into kpop earlier but I'm really glad I found my way here. To my faves, to the fandoms, to the music, to the people who like the same music/group as I, to all this love shown between the fandom and the group, the love shown within the fandom
I think sometimes nothing can stop you from falling down I also think that sometimes it's easier to get back up, to stay up a little longer when you have someone or something you can lean on and I think for most of us this someone are our faves and their music that makes life
A little more bearable, a little bit better.
