As an adult, I damn well deserve the right to friends and partners coming over. Most housing does NOT allow this. I do not have the physical mobility to visit others. My friends would come to me, I depend on them and my homecare workers. Are they disallowed too?

I have been dis/Abled since 1993 and have never had an accessible apartment. That means no scooter, no independence. My food money went to taxis and rent. So where is my housing?
In 3 days, the public bathrooms/water here are shut down for the Winter. They took the porta-potties several days ago. They have anti-freeze and will work in freezing temperatures. So where exactly should I go? I can't walk to any other bathroom and I can't afford the Uber.
I'm spending $30 round trip to get to the only City of Toronto pool that has showers open to homeless people AND that are physically accessible with a bath bench, grab bars and a hand-held showerhead.
I am showering twice a month. Unless you count sitting down on the grass in a bathing suit while it rains in 10° weather.
I've been here almost 3 months, living in a tent in a park. I have no faith in the City of Toronto. They stopped building housing in the 90's. I have an auto-immune disease and cannot safely use a shelter. My physician agrees. I have several forms of arthritis, etc. etc.
