Under other names eg here in #Quebec where authorities encouraged minimal contacts for 28 days. This will of course be extended until the Spring, at best. #Covid19 is a test for our ability to live as functioning societies in the 21st c&the record is mixed AFAICS

#NewYork’s terrible Spring was too much for many who didn’t believe it. Everything changed when @nytimes was allowed to film inside a #Queens hospital overrun w/ patients. Until this is done EVERYWHERE, anti-maskers/anti-vaxxers will poison the well for all.

Until all countries live a Lombardy-type ep. w/ full breakdown of the hospital systems, ppl will be self-centered&careless. Next will be a generalization of the hushed UK strategy. #Covid19=don’t come to the hospital, we won’t accept you

NO EPIDEMIC was ever treated in hospitals. Why do ppl think gymnasiums etc were used in 1918-19 ? Hospitals in FR are cancelling 20% of surgeries and 60% of ICUs are #COVID19. This will not last long and #COVID19 will not be allowed to wreck healthcare systems. It simply won’t.

Government are scared shitless&powerless b/c citizens are scared shitless. NO ONE is facing facts: #COVID19 cannot be handled the way it was in the 1st wave, otherwise healthcare goes back 2 centuries. Is THAT what we want ? WEAR A FUCKING MASK, now !
