🩋 A thread 🩋
1. Tim McGraw

My favorite song from Debut. I love the nostalgia of it and that it fades out with her still singing.
2. Picture To Burn

She’s so badass lmao. Everyone says that rep Taylor is the most savage Taylor, but baby Taylor is just as sassy.
3. Teardrops On My Guitar

The perfect song to cry to when your crush doesn’t like you back 😭
The way she still hopes that Drew and his girlfriend are happy 😱
4. A Place In This World

Got this song randomly stuck in my head earlier. The power of Debut‘s anniversary lol. Baby Taylor trying to figure out where her life should go đŸ„ș
5. Cold As You

One of her best Track 5‘s imo. It’s so heartbreaking and the lyrics are so good.

„And you come away with a great little story
Of a mess of a dreamer with the nerve to adore you“
I love these lyrics so much
6. The Outside

Another song about finding your place and wanting to belong. Her vocals here are so sweet đŸ„ș
7. Tied Together With A Smile

tw // eating disorder

This song hits harder after finding out that she wrote it for a friend with an eating disorder :/
It hits even harder knowing that she struggled with it too, I‘m glad she’s doing better though and I hope her friend is too
8. Stay Beautiful

This song is so cute and I love it that she just wants Cory to be happy and to stay beautiful.
9. Should‘ve Said No

A bop. A sad bop. My 15 year old self was bopping to it all the time lol. I love the mashup she did of this song with Bad Blood for rep tour.
10. Mary‘s Song

Perfect song about childhood friends turning lovers. The little sister of INTHAF. I honestly always wanted a similar romance.
11. Our Song

It’s so creative to imagine the song you have with someone as specific memories you have with that special person instead of an actual song that someone else wrote and then actually writing that song for you and your person.
12. I‘m Only Me When I‘m With You

A sweet song about being in love with someone around whom you can be wholly yourself. It‘s a song for when you have found your soulmate.
13. Invisible

So damn relatable. I have often felt invisible. It’s incredible that 16 year old Taylor could put into words exactly what I felt. Also her vocals are so good in this song.
14. A Perfectly Good Heart

A very good album closer. Taylor is a master of writing sad songs, but making them bops by giving them an upbeat melody.
