Like most on the list, I had no idea what this movie had in store for me. I knew it was found footage using the concept of being a “lost” pilot for a reality television show about pregnant women expecting their first child.
And there are already a few expectant mother found footage movies with the child being some Satanic abomination, but throw this onto the fire and let’s see how it burns.
There’s not a lot more to say about this movie, as that’s pretty much it. Its cast is likeable enough, and when shit starts getting weird, everyone acts appropriately.
They even debate shutting down production, but are like, “nah, let’s see where this goes.” but in a less than obvious manner.
They have the requisite family dog who may or may not tangle with an entity, and they have the concerned family who may or may not deal with the entity in some indirect ways.
But mostly, there is the somewhat concerned, yet still emotionally distant husband and father-to-be who just can’t not be a dick during the whole situation. I mean, for the most part he’s cool, until things switch gears and he’s just useless.
But that’s what makes the movie fun to watch, not only him dealing with tension, but how the crew sticks around to get it all on camera. More fun and unsetting moments than meet the eye, so give it a try.
