aruani haters attacking again with the same "armin is toxic and misogynist" bullshit. ah, here we go again.

look, annie is my favorite character and i will always defend her, but she's NOT the poor innocent princess.

armin used her to manipulate his enemies while annie killed a huge part of his teammates. armin is not the manipulative villain and annie is not the innocent princess.

some ppl skipped 131 dialogue where yams made it clear: they did the same thing. both of them. liars and killers. but now, they don't have to be like that with each other anymore, the fight BETWEEN THEM is over.

aruani plot is basically two people who liked each other from the start, but sadly they're supposed to be enemies. just like annie chose her father, armin chose humanity.

saying annie is being used only for armin's character development makes no sense when most of her screen time is about herself ALONE and she's done with loneliness. now annie needs to >allow< herself feeling something

about annie, she doesn't have a single healthy relationship and this is clearly because of her past, because of how mr. leonhart raised her. but god, it doesn't mean things can't change.

sure, mr. leonhart — who abused and exploited her, the biggest reason she feels like a monster right now — can redeem himself, but armin can't do the same. why?

don't get me wrong, i'm not forcing people to like aruani (i don't even want to, lol). but most of aruani haters are armin haters, annie haters or people who lives inside their headcanon world. blind by hate i would say

even annie knows that she has no right to be mad at armin, because they both did the same thing. and keep this in mind: from now on, she will make her own choices, stop babysitting a 20 year old woman who knows how to defend herself

they were just TEENAGERS fighting for something bigger. before judging, let's see their relationship as young adults (ofc if they both survive...)

just accept it or leave. there is no point in stanning a character when you disapprove her attitudes cuz you think you can choose better for her. seems like you're here just to complain about her "new side"

and stop reducing annie's entire character to "armin's waifu" only because you don't like the idea of aruani. she's powerful af and will remain the same strong woman even if she likes a man

this "another strong woman being reduced to a waifu" is the shitiest excuse ever. annie hasn't changed at all, you just don't pay attention to her character the way you think you do. she's only discovering new things
