Fed up with the narrative that the Tories have voted to “starve kids” every parent gets child benefits, that means they have money given to them to support that child! So why do they need more? Why does the government have to pay for those that have the money to afford food!

1/
Also, I don’t care what people say, and how people twist what @BBradley_Mans said, he was spot on! The majority of those that have subsidised food for kids during term time have managed to feed their kids just fine outside of it for a long time now.

2/
Denying that the issue actually exists and trying to demonise an MP that finally speaks the truth is pathetic. Parents need to take responsibility, and in this country absolute poverty doesn’t really exist, we are lucky!

4/
We need to target the kids that need not just a free lunch, but proper care, 3 meals a day, looking after and if needed taken away from their parents if they are unable to accept help to change and care for their child(ren). Saying this doesn’t make me “evil”!

5/
It means I actually care! Throwing money at a problem isn’t the answer to everything, the most vulnerable children still wouldn’t get any food! So, let’s stop the nonsense “Tories vote to starve kids” and focus on helping the kids that actually need the help!

6/
We also need to remember that there are other addictions, gambling, shopping and many, many more! Let’s focus on helping them, not those that are capable of spending the benefits and money they have correctly! I don’t want any kid to go hungry let alone starve.

7/
That doesn’t mean I believe that simply given the parents additional money would stop it from happening. So if you see a child that is in need of help, do the right thing and make sure that kid gets help via the systems of support already in place!

Let’s hear the abuse! 🤷‍♂️
